History of the site
The history of mechanical manufacturing in Telč began as early as the 1870s, when Josef Vystrčil, a graduate of the local school, established a boilermaker and coppersmith workshop.
He himself was apprenticed in Vienna as a boilermaker and coppersmith. This workshop expanded into an engineering industry for farm machinery and equipment and in 1884 the company Josef Vystrčil and son was founded.

The company gradually developed and expanded its production of farm equipment to include distillery equipment and mainly the production and sale of hand-held fire extinguishers including firefighting accessories.
During this period the company began to expand to include the production of steam fire extinguishers.

The company achieved great growth by introducing the production of motor syringes, with engines of its own design:
SV 32 – four-cylinder, four-stroke, 1300 cc bottom-end engine and pump with a max. delivery of 1200 l/min.
SV 36 – 1600 cc four-cylinder, four-stroke, bottom-end engine and pump with a maximum delivery of 1400 l/min.
HV 5 – 900 cm two-cylinder, two-stroke engine and pump with a maximum delivery of 900 l/min.
The mass-produced syringes were designed for the chassis of Škoda, Praga and Walter trucks.
The custom-built cars came with a pump that delivered 1600-2000 l/min.
The company also produced sprinkler vehicles often in combination with a pump for firefighting purposes.

In the post-war period, the company cooperated with Škoda in Pilsen and in 1947 it started to cooperate with PAL Jihlava.
At this time there is a great development of diesel engines.
After 1948 the company became one of a number of production units associated under the state enterprise PAL Jihlava.
Thus, one of the plants of the state enterprise PAL Jihlava was established, whose main area of manufacture was the production of regulators and later of discharge valves.
Production is gradually being expanded to include pistons and cylinders and other components of the injection moulding programme.
In 1991, the joint stock company Motorpal, a.s. was established, including a plant 05 in Telč. In 2002 the production in Telč was closed.
In 2004 the company Telčská strojírenská, a.s. was founded.
